Falling in Love (and Losing My Mind) With a Tiny Casual Game: My Eggy Car Story

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you already know I have a soft spot for casual games. The kind you open “just for five minutes” and somehow end up playing for an hour while questioning your life choices. Recently, one of those games sneaked into my routine, parked itself firmly in my brain, and refused to leave. That game was Eggy Car.

I didn’t expect much when I first clicked “Play.” I honestly thought it would be a quick laugh, maybe a short distraction between work tasks. What I got instead was a rollercoaster of joy, frustration, laughter, and those dramatic “NOOOO!” moments that only simple games can create. Let me tell you how it all went down.

First Impressions: Simple, Cute, and Dangerously Addictive

At first glance, the game looks almost too simple. A small car. A fragile egg sitting on top. A hilly road that looks innocent enough. No fancy graphics, no complicated menus, no overwhelming tutorials.

And that’s exactly what drew me in.

As someone who has played games for years, I’ve learned to appreciate designs that respect your time. This one didn’t ask me to learn complex mechanics or remember twenty different buttons. It just said: “Here’s a car. Don’t drop the egg.”
